Project Overview
The Huawei OAN Section 3 project was one of the most significant broadband infrastructure deployments in Syria at the time of execution. World Tech Co. was contracted as the primary implementation partner to survey, install, integrate, commission, and obtain acceptance for 15 Optical Access Network configurations across three major Syrian governorates.
With a total contract value of $1.38 million USD, this project represents World Tech Co.'s single largest engagement — a testament to the company's technical capacity and the trust placed in it by Huawei and the Syrian Telecom Establishment (STE).
Scope & Technical Scope
The project encompassed the full delivery lifecycle — from GPS-mapped site surveys through to final acceptance testing. Each of the 15 sites required customised civil works coordination, equipment installation, fibre splicing, OAN configuration, and integration with the existing STE PSTN backbone.
- 15 OAN configuration sites across Homs, Hama and Deir Alzour
- Huawei optical equipment supply, installation and commissioning
- Site surveys and civil works coordination at all 15 locations
- OTDR testing and full optical link verification
- Integration with STE PSTN and DSL aggregation backbone
- Full as-built documentation, acceptance testing and sign-off
